Getting out the facts about heart disease is one of the most important parts of the mission statement at books-empower.com. As the number one killer of both men and women in America and a major cause of death throughout the world, it is vital that the message is delivered.
A researcher from "EducatorLabs" contacted me recently. Her team researched over 100 information sources related to heart disease and picked out 10 links that provided some great content. Their goal is to get this data in front of as many people as possible and then ask them to pass the links on to people they know. There is no sales pitch and no gimmicks. Just a sincere attempt to present facts about heart disease.
I was asked to help with this effort. The researcher asked me to include these links in our website. There is some really good information in the pages.
I'm not one to get involved with passing along forwarded e mails or electronic chain letters. And I would never ask any of you to forward anything that is remotely controversial. But when it comes to heart health and the links included in this page, I feel that asking for your help is a good idea.
So I'm putting out a call to action. I'm asking you to send this page to your friends, associates and anyone who can be of assistance in getting out these facts about heart disease. There is no reason for this health challenge to be at the top of the killer list any longer. We know what causes heart disease and we know about successful prevention.
Those of us in the "past age 30" bracket might have had an excuse for not knowing about all the causes of heart disease. Some of us grew up around tobacco. We all heard official sounding messages from national health organizations touting a low fat, high carb diet as a way to prevent heart disease.
But we now know that was flawed advice. We also know how those high carb diets actually increased many of the factors directly contributing to cardiovascular system health challenges. These same factors are now linked to exploding numbers of dementia related conditions.
Regular readers at books-empower.com already know about this list. These are the very basic factors that shorten life spans and leave families facing sudden voids following unexpected, unnecessary deaths.
* Poor diet
* Lack of physical activity
There are more causes that spring up as the result of these factors listed above. You'll find specific postings within the page directory in the left margin.
Here are three great links from "EducatorLabs". I used the text block to describe the page content.
Since we now know these facts about heart disease, it is our duty to teach the next generation how to avoid the pitfalls we encountered. The links featured in this page help with that educational, life saving process.
Our page featuring Dr. Crandall's three step process is a great spot to begin your path to avoiding or reversing this cardiovascular killer. The links that follow are additional arrows in our prevention arsenal.
Our image in the right margin of the four chambers to better health is the blueprint. Better diet, better exercise, better relaxation and better knowledge. We need your help in that fourth chamber. We need you to help spread the word.
Sometimes the message is so basic, so fundamental that we miss it. We look for quick fixes and easy cures. We see advertisements about rapid weight loss so we send along a check.
We hear about high protein drinks so we buy them, all the while not realizing that most western diets contain more than enough protein already. But it's advertised on television, so the check goes out.
I'm grateful to be asked by "EducatorLabs" to send along these pages links. I appreciate their efforts to help us in our stated goal of knocking heart disease off the pedestal as the top killer.
If you really check out these pages, you'll see more than just the lead story. The side bars are loaded with excellent information as well. Please pass this page along to all of your contacts. We've talked about building a groundswell. This is part of that push.
In the page directory I've highlighted inflammation, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, arteriosclerosis and many other contributors to cardiovascular system damage. You'll also find a proven eating plan to reverse or even avoid heart disease. The Mediterranean diet is the perfect choice to live a long, vibrant life.
We need all of you out there to be in robust health to help us teach the facts about heart disease. Just below you'll find one more great link. This one is loaded with quality content.
